# Chart the record

DRAFT, October 2026. Civic Interplay, civicinterplay.io.

## How to work

1. From the dated table, pick one measure with numbers over time (canopy cover, homes built, dollars spent, megawatts approved).
2. Plot what the record shows, year by year, and mark each target as a line or point at the date it was due.
3. Mark the years with no data as gaps, not zeros.
4. Add the key flows (approvals, budgets) as dated markers along the bottom.
5. Output a CSV and a simple chart (SVG or a chart spec), with every value sourced.

## Care

Don't smooth over missing years. Say which numbers are estimates.
