# Map the record

DRAFT, October 2026. Civic Interplay, civicinterplay.io. Example: the Data Centres Transparency Project map.

## How to work

1. Take the dated table from the assemble step. Keep only rows with a location.
2. For each site, gather: name, location (address or coordinates, with the source), owner or operator, and the Value, Flows and Impact rows that belong to it.
3. Choose one measure to size or colour each site by, and say why. Keep the others in the pop-up.
4. Mark sites where the record is thin or missing, rather than leaving them off.
5. Output a GeoJSON file (or a CSV with latitude and longitude) plus a short legend. Every site keeps its source links.

## Care

A map makes things look settled. Say what it leaves out.
