# A side angle on a place

DRAFT, October 2026. Civic Interplay, civicinterplay.io. Example: "A side angle on place flows".

## How to work

1. From the dated table, pick one place and one thread (for example, tree canopy, housing, or heat).
2. **Value (top sheet):** the target or priority, with its date and who set it. Add anything co-designed by people in the place.
3. **Flows (middle sheet):** approvals as volumes, spending as dots, each dated.
4. **Impact (ground):** what the record shows now, with its source and date.
5. Run a line down through the sheets wherever a value has a flow and an impact beneath it. Where one is missing, number the gap and write one plain sentence for it:
   - "Here is what the plan says matters, and here is where the money went."
   - "Here is what was approved, and here is what has been disclosed since."
   - "Here is something people value that no record currently holds."
6. Output an SVG (or a written brief for someone to draw), with the numbered gaps listed underneath and every figure sourced.

## Care

Label illustrative layouts as illustrative. The gaps are questions, not verdicts.
